The exact market launch is not yet clear, but the presentation of the facelift will almost certainly take place in March 2021. The facelift will be launched in 2021. As far as prices are concerned, nothing is known yet. We’ll keep you up to date.

Engines and driving behavior

Something will also change with the engines. The revamped Kodiaq will likely get the 2.0 TDI Evo, which is cleaner than the old engines. The diesel has already been installed in the Passat facelift. A plug-in drive will certainly not be missing, the combination of the 1.4-liter gasoline engine and electric motor will probably also be adopted by the Passat.

A six-speed DSG and a 13 kWh battery are to be expected in the hybrid and with an output of 218 hp with a purely electric range of 55 kilometers according to WLTP, you can’t complain.

Skoda Kodiaq 2021 Technical data and exterior design

As is usual with a facelift, the Kodiaq will not receive any serious optical changes. Probably the grill will be enlarged and it will be equipped with three-dimensional struts. It is also common to revise the headlights, which could changeless in terms of shape than more in terms of technology. The recently face-lifted Superb got Matrix LED headlights, so it can be assumed that these are also intended for the Kodiaq.

The Kodiaq seen in the pictures is probably a Sportline, which we suspect based on the aluminum wheels and the badge on the front fender. The front is still camouflaged, but you can still see that the bumpers are being updated.

Something seems to be changing with the rear lights too. The Kodiaq will almost certainly receive wiper indicators, as you already know from the Kamiq. Otherwise, the visual changes will be limited.

What will change is probably more technical. This certainly also includes the infotainment system, which optionally includes a digital cockpit. You will orient yourself on the Superb and you will probably get a 9.2-inch touchscreen with gesture and voice control, as well as an integrated hard drive with SIM card and its data volume, with the Kodiaq in the top version.

Skoda Kodiaq 2021 Interior

Details about the interior are not yet known. But since the Kodiaq was previously considered a space miracle and it was precisely the enormous amount of space that made the Skoda SUV’s value, you will certainly not get any smaller here. As far as infotainment and assistance systems are concerned, people are sure to orientate themselves towards Octavia and Superb. In any case, you can expect modern technology and comfort.
